Scar Tissue Release MSTR

This is now an EVIDENCE-BASED treatment (see Research page).  I am seeing dramatic effects in my clinic using this new therapy.

I have found MSTR (McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release) to be a simple but highly effective technique which helps normalise scars and gives permanent results.

Scars can have a huge influence on our lives.  They can cause:

  • numbness, tingling, pain
  • itching, burning, hyper-sensitivity
  • loss of confidence
  • restriction and tightness
  • reduction in blood and lymph flow
  • loss of muscular strength
  • reduced energy
  • inhibited joint movement

Why is treatment of scars important?

According to research, if a scar is left untreated, it may make other therapeutic interventions less effective or not last as long.  Scar tissue is formed in order to heal and protect the body after trauma, whether it is from surgical operation or through an accident.  It takes time to heal as collagen is laid down as part of the repair process.  However, the collagen fibres are laid down in such a way that the tissue puckers, thickens and hardens.  This can cause pain and difficulty which is often not attributed to scarring.

Old Scars

Even though your scar may be many years old, this may be the release that your body has been searching for.  It is still possible to have profound and positive effects on your body, your comfort and your life.

Types of Scars

Any scarring due to surgical intervention, mastectomy, hysterectomy, emergency C section, amputation, abdominal surgery, spinal surgery, trauma scars from lacerations such as stab wounds, bullet wounds.
